Manufacturing Layout Design

“If you don’t know where you are going, you’ll end up someplace else.” – Yogi Berra

No enterprise, whether it’s assembling the space shuttle or getting breakfast, is running well without planning. And lean manufacturing isn’t an exception. That’s why today we are talking about Layout Design.

What is Manufacturing Layout Design?

It is one of the most important aspects in the process of engineering design, which has a significant impact on performance.

In manufacturing engineering, process layout is a design for the floor plan of a plant, which aims to improve efficiency by arranging equipment according to its functionality.

Printed circuit board (PCB) design brings your electronic circuits to life in the physical form. Using layout software, the PCB design process combines component placement and routing to define electrical connectivity on a manufactured circuit board.

But why is Manufacturing Layout Design really important?

The answer is extremely simple — it will save you time and money.

Designing a layout helps optimally locate manufacturing facilities in order to reduce the required material handling resources.

Anyway, the flow patterns are the following:

  • link process steps to minimize cycle time and travel distance,
  • eliminate crossover points, and
  • simulate a continuous flow process by putting internal customers and suppliers next to each other.

We, ABC Assembly, can call ourselves experts in the most comprehensive software and hardware tools. We work starting with concept design and going all the way to the final product manufacturing and direct fulfillment to the end customer.

Our company offers different Layout and Simulation Tools.

Manufacturing Layout Tools

  1. Electrical:
  • OrCAD — It is a good option for electronic design engineers and electronic technicians to create electronic schematics, perform mixed-signal simulation and electronic prints for manufacturing printed circuit boards.
  • PCAD — This system boasts quality support for the ODB ++ output data format.
  • PADS — It can support all RF board functions that are required for tracing.
  • Cadence ALLEGRO — The main advantage of Allegro is the polygon handling.
  1. Mechanical
  • AutoCAD — One of the main benefits of AutoCAD is that it allows you to draw to scale.
  • and 3D Solidworks — In this tool, one can create complex 3D floor plans in a relatively short time by assembling plant components as easy as Legos.
  1. ProTel.
  2. ViewLogic.

Simulation Tools

  1. ModalTek (Verilog verification).
  2. Eaglewaze (RF!).

Use our tools to design, assemble and model your work before presenting it to the world.
